April 2018

Dear Patrons,

Eclipse has some good news to share with you. We are halfway through our successful 26th season – having brought music to you for more than a quarter century. We are hard at work preparing for our next performance. Please keep the date in mind: April 15 at 3PM in the George Washington Masonic Memorial.

This special concert will showcase three Eclipse musicians that you have come to know and admire over the years. We cannot think of a better way to conclude our season than with a concert that highlights our name as An Orchestra of Soloists.

Carole Bean and Alice Kogan Weinreb will perform Cimarosa’s Concerto for Two Flutes in G major; and Rick Barber will perform Koussevitzky’s Double Bass Concerto, Op.3; followed by the orchestra’s finale – Prokofiev’s Classical Symphony.

Along with our invitation to attend this concert, we invite you to participate by making a tax-deductible gift to support EclipseWe value your past contributions as every dollar given helps us meet our many artistic expenses. Please consider continuing your support by sponsoring our concert this April.  A donation of $1,500 sponsors our music director’s work, $1,000 sponsors a soloist, and $500 will sponsor any one of our talented musicians.

Any donor making a contribution of $500 or more will be entered in a special drawing to win a prize at the concert on April 15!

Donations of any amount are welcome and will ensure that Eclipse is able to bring you music that you love to hear and that we love to play.  Besides donations by check as always, we now also offer the convenience of online giving at

On behalf of Abel, Eclipse musicians and board, I sincerely thank you for your past and future support.  I hope to see you at the GWMM on April 15 to share our exceptional musicians with you!

With warmest thanks,

Theresa Cigan
President, Board of the Eclipse Chamber Orchestra
